ALASKA PENINSULA
BROWN BEAR HUNTS

All hunts are conducted out of a base camp in Unit 9A on the Alaska Peninsula.

The Spring hunt is May 10 through May 25 (16 Days).

The Fall hunts are:
October 1 through October 10 (10 Days).
October 12 through October 21 (10 Days).

We believe that an 8 ft. bear with a thickly furred hide is a better trophy than a 9 ft. bear with a rubbed hide. However, size is an important trophy characteristic and you are not encouraged to shoot a bear under 8ft.
Our 20 plus year average size bear taken is 8'10".

Black bears, wolves and wolverines are also observed on these hunts and may be taken for an additional trophy fee of $1000 per species. Fair chase principles are practiced at all times.

MOOSE HUNTS

Moose hunts within the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is Game Management Unit 15B. This area is managed as a trophy bull area and is hunted by drawing permit. Only bulls with 50 inch or greater antlers, or at least 3 brow tines on at least one side are legal. This area has a good number of bulls in the 60 inch and greater class. The hunt area is accessed by horses although the hunting is done primarily on foot. There are two separate hunts each year with the early hunt running September 9 through September 20, and the late hunt starts September 25 through October 6.
